Explore the coursesYes, you can join a group course up to two weeks after the course start date, provided you catch up on the missed material independently. Your teacher will provide you with everything you need to study the missed lessons. After the first two weeks, it is no longer possible to join the group. This ensures that all students progress at a similar pace and helps maintain a smooth and effective learning environment.
Each CEFR level (A1–B2) is divided into two sublevels (A1.1, A1.2, etc.). Each sublevel usually takes around 8–10 weeks to complete, so one full level takes approximately 4–5 months.
C1 and C2 levels take longer and depend on the student’s goals and intensity, usually around 3-6+ months per level.
With 1 lesson per week progress is slower but steady, while 2 lessons per week leads to faster progress.
You can cancel or reschedule a private lesson up to 12 hours before its scheduled start time at no extra cost. Your lesson will simply be moved to another available time.
If you cancel less than 12 hours before the lesson, it will be considered a late cancellation and the lesson will be charged.

If you know in advance that you will miss a lesson, please let your teacher know. They will provide you with the lesson materials, homework, and recommendations for self-study so that you can keep up with the group and be prepared for the next class.

We will help you determine your current level before you start your course.
First, we'll send you a placement test that includes grammar, reading, listening, and writing tasks. After that, we'll schedule a free 15-minute consultation with one of our teachers to assess your speaking skills.
Once both parts are complete, we'll review your results and recommend the course level that best matches your current abilities.

These are exactly the courses I have been looking for. It’s not only the lessons themselves, but also the feedback and contact with the teacher between the lessons that I valued the most. The teacher helped me create a study plan for the time between lessons and stay organized. I managed to go from zero to A2 level in around half a year.
Lisa, vielen Dank für alles, ohne Zweifel die beste Deutschlehrerin, die ich je hatte!
Ich habe Deutsch mit meinem Partner zusammen beim Deutschkurs Herbig gelernt, weil wir beide für den Umzug B2 brauchten. Alles hat geklappt! In der Zukunft nehmen wir den C1 Kurs.
I started learning German with Lisa when I was preparing for the B1 Goethe certificate and my main problem was the writing section. The teacher helped me to build a clear structure for my essay and gather vocabulary and phrases while brushing up on my grammar to avoid unnecessary mistakes in the exam!
I am extremely grateful to have a teacher who, not only understands my academic needs, but also elaborates an organized plan in order to reach my goals in a realistic manner. Furthermore, I also greatly appreciate the fact that Lisa adjusts her schedule in order to fit in lessons that are convenient to me and that she is very flexible with our timetable.
